I’ve visited Oaxaca, Mexico a couple of times. One of their traditional dishes is the Tlayuda. This is one of (if not the) only places to get one in Dallas. And it’s just as good as one you’ll get in Mexico. This place is very authentic and very delicious. It’s a mandatory stop for me if I’m in Deep Ellum.

Great food! I work late nights and this is my go-to for late night Mexican food. The chimichanga is killer, as are the tacos and burritos. I order online and the order is usually ready by the time I get there, if not it’s well worth the wait. The al pastor is SO GOOD. I usually go weeknights here, getting in and out of Deep Elum is not my favorite after a long work shift.

This is a walk-up joint where you order at the window. They have 3 tables with chairs outside so don't count on having a seat for sure. The food is great though. The meats are well seasoned, portions are hefty, and they have a pretty large menu. Good spot for late night munchies.
